Random post about nothing in particular

Hello, people of the web. Sorry for not having posted recently - though I probably shouldn't be so full of myself as too think that I actually had frequent viewers.
I don't usually like writing holiday recounts but I'll have to anyway because there really isn't anything else I can think of.
Well, of course I was excited a week before the holidays but to be honest, it was boring. I didn't do much. Actually talking about is making me sleepy.
Oh yeah, the New Moon movie is coming out soon; November I think. The books are good. There are two tickets in New Zealand to the premiere in LA, but to acquire them means you have to enter a competition which you're most likely not going to win - but then again that's probably what the winners would have said.
I saw the new movie Up in the holida- woah, a sudden wave of tiredness fell over me; I should stop talking about those two weeks of tedium.
Anyway...

Until next time

10 Years From Now...

In the next decade I hope to achieve my dreams, here is a list of things I want to accomplish:

I want to...
  • Travel around the world (I really want to go to Europe!)
  • Live in the United States
  • Become a successful film director and actor. I have researched a school in America called Columbia College Hollywood: School of Film Television Liberal Arts which may be able to help me to accomplish this dream
  • Meet a famous/eminent person, like the President of the USA or Nelson Mandela or someone
  • Sponsor a child in India or Africa
  • Write a book
There's probably more stuff that I want to achieve in ten years but I can't really think of them right now.

MJ No More

OMG, the "King of Pop" - that is MJ isn't it? Or is it Elvis? No wait, Elvis is "King of Rock 'n' Roll" - is dead. I tried to refrain from using that statement 'coz it sounds so "not right". MICHAEL JACKSON IS DEAD!!!! See what I mean.
Anyway, the [in]famous MJ died on the 25th of June 2009 - that was the date in the US, but for us, in NZ, it was the 26th - from a fateful heart attack which arrested his cardiac - cardiac arrest, get it? I should probably stop making a morbid joke out of this. But the Jackson family also suggested that MJ may have died of a drug overdose - which, don't mind me saying, is probably a more "popular" death among celebrities.
After the "King of Pop"'s - I'm still unsure about that - death, there was a sudden increase in searches for "Michael Jackson" on Google, which caused some technical difficulties for the company* and led the company to believe that they were under attack from "malicious hackers" - LOL, that's pretty funny.

GO BALONEY!!

*that statement doesn't sound right; Fragment consider reversa - what does that even mean?!

N.B. I found out that MJ is (ahem, correction: was) the "King of Pop" after all!

Swine Flu

I'm not the best blogger for news reports but seeing that I haven't updated my blog in a while, it makes sense to write this post.
The Swine Flu is a flu (influenza, if you want to be technical) - hence the name - which is originated from pigs. To be pedantic, this horrible epidemic is caused by influenza type A which infects these pink hippopotamus-relatives (believe it or not, they're related); there are many types of the infection, but it has not normally affected humans, well, not up until now, because this latest form clearly does.
Most unfortunately for us Kiwis, this proliferating pig disease is rumoured to be in New Zealand. I don't know much about it, really.

Traits Of A Quality Learner

I'm back. Sorry I haven't been posting lately; for some reason I don't find there's really anything interesting to write about. But back to the matter at hand...
Traits of a quality learner.
I think a successful student... This is more difficult than you'd expect. Um... A successful student should be able to self manage [does that have a hyphen?]; like, get work and other stuff which have deadlines done on time. Does "meeting the highest expectations" come under self(-)managing? If it doesn't, well, quality learners should still do that.
Um, a successful student should "participate and contribute" in all activities and not be scared to try new things.
And then there's all that basic respect stuff that we learnt in Primary; like, respect other people's property, respect school rules, respect your teachers and classmates, etc..
Feel free to add anything I missed in your comments.
Until next time...

Pablo Picasso; Mi Artista Favorito

Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso - otherwise known as Picasso - is my most favourite artist. I love his technique of painting; cubism. Some of his most famous masterpieces seem like they are nothing more than accentuated lines and sharp contours, but really if you think about it, his paintings are more meaningful and complicated than the apparent impression.

Little Sisters of the Modern Day

Okay, I know this isn't the nicest thing to say but little sisters are such bratty and annoying creatures, especially mine - actually I probably have the most narcissistic female sibling on Earth!
She thinks she can take advantage of our arguments with her pseudo tantrums and get me into trouble for doing absolutely nothing, and then of course my parents will never believe me when I say I'm innocent! And then there's her attitude which everyone can agree is ignorant, bossy, stubborn, insolent, offensive, incongruous, impertinent and abhorrent. My parents wouldn't admit it but I know that's how they truly feel about her.
I'll probably regret writing all this when she becomes tolerable again but those occasions are rare and often that anomalous temperament is capricious [how grandiose of me!].
Anyway, feel sorry for me.

Science Fair *moan*

So, at school we have a school science fair and most unfortunately for the Accelerate Class (which I'm in), it's compulsory. I guess it'd be pretty cool if you wanted to be a scientist but that's not the case with me. I haven't got any idea what I'm going to do it on and I'm hoping to do a little better than last year: my topic was "How Long Does It take For Bread To Get Mouldy?", it was pretty pathetic. I find science confusing what with all the strange substances and sophisticated vocabulary.
But I'll do the best I can even though that isn't that much.
Boo hoo.

By the way, does this look like a cat?:

Twilight Saga... READ IT!

Everyone who has read the Twilight Saga - like moi - can agree that it is "like wow". If you have not read it, I strongly recommend that you do. At one point, for about a week or so, the whole quartet was sold out of New Zealand!!! The movie was a success too, though it is definitely not as good as the books... which are "like wow".

Celebrity Struggle

Who knows Rihanna and Chris Brown? All of you should. Anyway, I know this is kind of old news and you might already know this but I haven't got any other post and, well, a Baloney's gotta keep his audience... plus I felt like putting this in.

So let me establish the facts for all who don't know...
Hmm... where do I begin? Well, Chris got a text; Rihanna read the text; the text was um... we can all assume what the text said (it's a bit too inappropriate for a school blog); anyway, this text triggered an argument and at some point Chris said "You're really f-" (we won't go into details but I can tell you there were a lot of exclamation points); he then attacked her, strangled her unconscious, and so on so on.

I'm not going to take any sides or anything in case Rihanna or Chris is reading this post... oh, and if they are reading this post then this next message is for them:
I can't believe you're viewing my blog, and please don't blame me if any of this is incorrect.
